NEW MINISTER WELCOMED

Parishioners of St. Andrew's Church, Port Ahuriri, met last evening to welcome their new minister, the Rev. W. S. G. Cameron, who was lately in charge of the Porangahau church. Speeches oi welcome wer© made by Mr Frank Smith, Mrs Norman, Mr H. J. Hull, Miss Grant, Mr Lawrence, Kaiwaka, and Mr F. Clark, Eskdale. Both Mr and Mrs Cameron returned thanks. The musical part of the evening was contributed by th© Misses E. Soper and Hyett, piano duet, and songs by Madame Mercer, Mrs Nixon, Mr Maurrice Gray, Miss Valerie Grey and Master Laurence MacCarthy. Miss M. Hyett gave a violin solo and aifeo played the accompaniments for the singers. A dainty supper served by the ladies brought a pleasant evening to a close,
