Wairoa Farmers Interested in Electrical Pumps

WAIROA, This Day. With the spread of information about the value of electrical pumping of water during abnormal seasons, the farmers in several areas are making applicationg for power for this purpose. Although this district is not subject to serious floods, there are a few areas where valuable lands are inundated during heavy rain. At the last meeting. of the Wairoa Electric Power Board, the engineer, Mr C. J. P. Drewett, reported on a number of inquiries for flood pumps, which were later submitted to the works committee.
