(Eeeeivea 9, 11.15 a.m.) MELBOURNE., Fob. 9. Lora Nuffield has given £25,000 to tho Lord Mayor's Fund, the largest single donation ever reeeived by that- fund. It ia announced that £15,000 of the total will go to Metropolitan hospital*, £7,500, to country hospitals, and £2,500 to the Society for Crippled Children. Since his arrival in Australia, Lord Nuffield said, he had discovered that he has many more "relations" than 'ha Icnew, but they were few compared to his "old sehool friends." If all the men who claimed to have gone to school with him had actually done so he must have been educated in a schoolroom at least 120 yards in length. "Actually," he said, "I reeeived my education in a room about twelve feet square."
