Business of the Month CLEARING OF DRAINS The inonthly mebting of the Hawke 's Bay County Couneil was held to-day. Present: Messrs F B. Logan (chairman), and Messrs E. M. Palmer, W. Tucker, M. S. Chambers, E. H. Beamish, C. C. Smith, R. Harding, W. Turner, N. p. Eficksen and C. Lassen. Every effort is to be made to have the drain-cleaning put in hand early this autumn. The council decided to irivite tenders for the whole' of the drain-cleaning iix the county. The enginefer, Mr R. Pufflett, stated that the specifications were completed and tfen-. d'ers could be invited immediately.
