DANCER'S SUCCESS

At the 38th annual show at Wairoa, Hazel Miller was successful in the following classes of national dancing. — • 11 — 14 years: First, Sailor's Hornpipe; first, Sword Dance; first, Reel o' Tulloclr; second, Sean Truibhais;* second Highland Reel; third, Highland Fling; third, Irish Jig. She also won the firstprize medal for the best-dressed competitor in Highland costume. Her successes at the nineteenth Caledonian gathering held on February 6 at Turakina were as follow: First, Highland Fling; first, Sean Truibhais; first Sword Dance: third, Irish Jig.
