Christie Cup Wrested From Hawke's Bay EXCITING TENNIS Exeitexuent rau at fever heat ati Napier on Saturday when it was xeal-i ised that Manawatu's challenge for thei Christie tennis cup was going to be aj neck-and-neck race right up to the final tally. In rubbers both sides were equal,, 12 all, but in sets Manawata emerged victorious by 28 to 26 and in games by 265 to 258. The challengers thus xecaptured the trophy which has been held by Hawke 's Bay for two or three years. Results were as follow, Manawatu players mentiqned first: — Men's singles: D. I.
