Committee Meets The commjttoe of the Hawke's Bay Jockey Club met in the club's olfice at the Hastings racecourse yesterday. Present: Messrs G. D. Beatson (president, in the chair), T V. Morrin, VV. J. Wood, W. A. Tod, F.. P Kelly, J. J. Gatenby, Hon. H. A. Russell, and Messrs T. H. Lowry, G A. Maddisou. G. Ebbett, J. N. Lowry. Correspondence relating to the railwaymen's picnic and the action of the president in granting the use of the racecourse for their annual picnic on February 28 was endorsed. Arrangements were left to the secretary and manager.
