HOSPITAL INQUIRY
Statement "If Circumstances Warrant it" NO HINT YET GIVEN No hint as to the findings of a special committee of inquiry set up by the HawXe's Bay Hospital Board to take evidence as to certain conduct at the Napier Hospital was given . to the 1 1 Herald-Tribune ' ' by eithor Mr. O. Lassen, chairman of the board, or Mr. C. O. Morse, the Napier member of the inquiry committee when approached this morning. The report came before a meeting of the board oii Thursday evening, and was discussed in committee, but it is not known whether any important, decisione were made. When approached this morning for a statement coneerning developments, Mr. Lassen said that the diseussion was strictly in committee and he had no authority to makf any statement. "The inquiry has been completed and the board has considered the whole matter, and as far als the boarS ls eo». cerned the matter is closed, ' ' he said. "Should the circumstances warrant a public Btatement, no doubt it will ba f ortheoming. ' ' The inquiry was commeneed at the end of last year, the committee hear--ng a substantial amount of evidence, and it was the results of this investigation were the subject of Thur3day evening 's meeting of the board.
