Flfteen-year-old Message.

After carrying a message for the last 15 years, Mr T* J. Thomas, of Titirangi, has at last delivered it to the man for whom it was originally intended. In 1922 he was bidding farewell to the guide who had shown him around the war giraves on a French battlefield when an Englishman standing alongside, evidently attfacted by his accOnt, asked him whether he came from New Zealand. Mr Thomas replied that he did, adding that he came from the Gisborne district. "Then I Used to deliver your newspapers when the Spanish-American war was on," said the Englishman. "I am Willy D — — "Willy" asked Mr Thomas to deliver a message to a former playmate, and last week, after 15 years' inquiries, Mr Thomas located his man at Avondale., quite near his own home.
