Another Successful Function MAJOR AWARDS

" • WAIEOA, Last Night. The Wairoa A. and P. Society 's Show for 1937 was. held to-day on the Soeiety's freehold grounds at Euataniwha in glorious weather, after a few days of mist and fog. The ■ attendance was up to that of last year, if not a little better, and all the arrangements ran very smoothly. There was a flne display of stoek of all kinds and the several judges made very complimentary references to the quality. The showing of horses was good throughout and the jumping was creditable, while the display of fruit, flowers, vegetables, cooking and sewing was favourably commented upon. There was a large parlcing of ears and the trade displays and sideshowo' gave an animated appear ance to the grounds. The officials, one and all, were assiduous in the discharge of their several' duties. The championship and competition awards were: — CHAMPIONSftlPS Mare.— E. E. Jefferson.
