Fears Felt for Safety of Missouri Doctor (Reeeived 4, 8.30 a.m.) • WILLOW SPR3NGS, Feb. 3. The Missouri authorities have disclosed that Df. J. B. Davis, aged 67, who disappeared a week ago, was kidnapped and held for 5000 dollars ransom. The family reeeived a note , in the physician's handwrxting stating that ransonx was demanded. The authorities refused to discuss the case, but learned that Dr. Davis 's medicine case was found in the river, causing grave concern as to whether he has been slain.
