Tie for First Award

FEiLDlNG, Last Nfght. The Manawatu Jersey Breeders' Olub £500 Jersey Oaks concluded at Feilding to-day. There were 21 entrants and the competition was for purebred Jersey heifers, in milk, born between July 1 and December 31, 1923, Each animal to qualify must have been awarded either first or a second class prize. The entries comprjsed a magpiificent range of the cream of the Jersey herds in the Wellington and Taranaki provinees. The first prize of £350 went to C. Lepper (Lepperton) and H. J. Lancaster (Levin) 93 points each tie; the third* prize of £50., W. Croshy (Waipuku) 90jj points; the fourth £40, to J. Murray (Woodville); tho fifth, £30 to C. G. C. Germer (Feilding), 90 points ; the sixth, £20, to J. Klenner (Inglewood). 89f points and the eev- 1 enth £1V \Q jt Bones (Kaipaki) 89 1 points. j
