Bromwich 6—3, jl — 6, 6—0, 2—6, 6—1. , Women 's singles semhfinal: Miss N«J Wynne (Victoria) defeated Miss T.l iCoyne (New South Wales) 7 — 5, 4 — 6^ - 1(5—4. , ; Women 's doubles final; Misses Coynej. and N. Wynne defeated Mrs. Westacottl '(Queensland) &nd Mrs. Hopman (Vic«j 'toria) 6—2, 6—2. Boys' junior doubles final: Bromwicli[ and D. Pails defeated H. Lindo and J^ Gilchrist 6 — 4, 5—7, 6 — 4. In a Davis Cup exhibition matckj Quist and Schwartz versus A. Huxleyiland D. Turnbull, play was aband.onedj Iwhen the score was 4 — 6, 6 — 3, 10— 10^t The McGrath-Bromwich xnatch was generally concedqd to be up to Davis Cup standard. McGrath was in- rare form.
