It recounts the uproarious experiences of a renegade male and his woman-hating, 11-year-old son who are marooned in a mountain resort in the company of a lovely lady who believes men are not only annoying but totally unnecessary. Also present is the woman's 9-year-oid daughter, a fiery brat who is more spirited than her mother in her aversion to the male species. Against their will, Miss Astor and Douglas find themselves falling in love. Aithough they can't help themselves, their children determine to end the romance. Amusing situatxons continue to develop as the children do everythmg in their power to achieve Ihis eml Nothing happens until Douglas by accident happens to give Mary's' young daughter a sound spankihg. Furious, Mary breaks the engagement. From there on "And So They Were Married" swirls in a series of hilarious episodes to a laugh-filled climax. The second attraction on the programme is the sparkling musical "Broadway Hostess,'» starring Wini-' fred Shaw, Lyle Talbot, Genevieve Tobin and Phil Regan.
