AUCKLAND. Jan. 30. Sales-tax collections at Auckland for January reached the new hish level of £86,757, as compared with the record monthly total, that for December. of £85,253, and showing a £16,000 mcreS^ over January 1936. Customs revenue for January totalled £322,825, as compared with £300.594 in January 1936. The month 's total includes motor spirit £56,27S and tyre duty £2116, Boer excise realiseri £12.374.
