Heavy Offering of Storc Sheep MARKET GENERALLY FIRM Close upon 29,000 shaep were yarded| for the stock sale at Feilding yesterday,j when the market was generally firm ia; all departments. The sale o£ sheep: opened with the market inclined to drag, slightly, but as the selling proceeded' values firmed and lat.e rates were fully ; maintained with the business generallyj in favour of the vendors. Interest mainly centred upon thej large oflcering of store lambs, the coa-j dition of which varied considerably and, for the best lines bidding was keen andanimated. The best of the ewe laznb% a line of 174'from Massey College, made 32s 2d, while Colyton-bred wether lambs, made to 22s 9d. The first of the breed-, ing ewes came forward, mixed agesi making to 30s, while a straight line ofl four-tooths realised 3d less. An entryl of 6-yr. ewes made 22s. Fat and forward station eattle, comprising special entries on account of N. J. Short and the Short Estate, made £11 15s and £11 2s respectively. There was a small offiering of stationbred cattle, A.A. steers realising £7 and; S.H." steers £6 17s. A fow of the pens| were passed as the bidding was short J of the vendors' reserves. j Dairy stock were in" short supply andj the quality of the stock was not of the! best.
