AMATEUR ATHLETICS

JAPANESE TEAM'S ITENERARY f The New Zealand Amateur Athletle Association has drawn up the following itinerary for the tour of the Dominion by the Japanese athietes, Murakoso and Togami: — February 15: Arrive at Auckland. February 20: Compete at Auckland. February 27 : Compete at Christchurch. March 6: Compete at Dunedin, March 13: Compete at Auckland (New Zealand championships). March 17: Compete at Wanganui. March 20: Compete at Wellington. March 27: Compete at Hawke's Bay-Poverty Bay Centre, probably at Gisborne. March 30: Depart from Wellington for Sydney. Mr. H. McCormick, secretary of the N.Z.A.A.A. stated that February 20, February 27, March 6 and March 20 are dates which suit the Auckland, Canterbury, Otago, and Wellington centr.es respectively, and the council already had decided that Murakoso and Togami are to compete at the New Zealand championship meeting in Auckland on March 13. The only dates therefore that the council was not absolutely certain about at Ihe present time were March 17 (Wanganui) and March 27 (Hawke's Bayt'overty Bay). In view of the fact that the Japanese are now to make a separate appearance at Auckland apart from competing at the national championship meeting, the Auckland Centre h to be asked for a guarantee of £25. the amount each of the othei\ centre.has been a-'ke:i (o cj.Hribute.
