CHRISTCHURCH, Last Night. William Geoffrey Snook, aged 30, pleaded guilty in the Magistrate's Court to-day to using premises, 143 Opawa road, as a common gaming bouse. He was fined £35. Snook, wbo had been before ihe Court m January, 1933^ for u t-iit.i'ar offence, was warned by Mr L. vvey, S.M., that if he were oaught again he would not be givon ihe chan e of paving a fine. Detectives, it was stated, had xaided accusedvs premises and found bim taking bets over tbe telepbone. There was also bettiiig parapbernalia in the room.
