EMPIRE AIR MAIL

Australia Given Right to Withdraw (Received 29, 8.4.5 a.m.)SYDNEY, Jan. 28. It is reported that Australia 's right to withdraw, if dissatisfied, from the Empire flying boat air mail service has been conceded by the British Government. A complete agreement is now assured and simultaneous announcements by all the Empire Governments concerned are likely to be made within a month. It is understood that the British Government takes the view that, as it had decided to establish a service bebetween London and Auckland, whether or not Australia agreed to partieipate, it was not making any real sacrifice In giving the Oommonwealth the right to leave the partnership at any time it desired.
