The programme set down for th« Heretaunga Swimming Club'a carnival to-night is an exceptional one. Three opefi- races — 50, 100 and 220 yards— figure on the programme, and from the performances recorded iu ihe heats last night some brilliant swimming should be Witnessed to-night ifi &11 classes, Which include juniof, senior and intermediate of both Sdxes. The diving again should be a feature. -Aithough it was advertised that the Napier club would be the visiting polo team, the Heretaunga club regrets that this was a misunderstandihg for the following Friday and that the visiting team to-night is from the Havelock club, who on Wednesday night successfully defeuded the Polo Cup against the Heretaunga challenge by four goals to two.
