Bright—Mason
In St. Mark's Church, Wellington, on the evening of Wednesaay, ■ J anuary 27, the Eev. Jp. Roberts united in holy matrimony, Fonda Grace, only daughtcr of Mr and Mrs Ferguson BroUgh-Mason, Hay street, Oriental Bay, Wellington, and formerly of Napier) and Philip John, son of Mr and Mrs Bright, Timaru. Tho church was tastefully decorated with blue hydrangea for the occasion. The Dride entered the church with her father, who gave her away. She made a pretty picture in her trained model wedding gown of ivory satin cu£ on classical lines, ihe tight-fitting bodice Jiaving shoulder epaulcttes and a ploated band finished with a circie of pink flowers outlined the neckline, She long train attraetively fell from the waistline. The veil of ivory tulle was arranged from a coronet of tulle finished with a bandeau of orange biossom and she carried a bouquet of pink roses and gladioli with long trailers of rosebuds. Miss Margaret Walker (Palmerstdn North) attended as bridesmaid. She was frocked in white satin fashioned with a f ull skirt, having a deeply pleated hem. The bodice was close-fitting and falling from shoulders to hem were pale bluo veivet ribhon Streamers. An attractive shoulder cape* let of tne satin, a bandeau of bluo flowers in the hair and a bouquet of roses and delphiniums completed the ensemble. The little flower girl, Pamela Valioa (Wellington) wore a frock of white accordion pleated georgette cut on Victorian lines. A girdle of pink and blue flowers encircled the waistline and
% matching circlet was worn on the head. She carried a Victorian posy to tone. The duties of best man were carried out by Mr Denzil Mclntosh. Mr Watson presided at the organ and during the service the hymn "Lead Us, Heavenly Father, ' ' was sung. After the ceremony a recepflon was held in the palm lounge of the St. George Hotel. The bride 's table waa beautifully decorated and here she cut the two-tiered weddjbg flhke. A buffet supper was served and all the nsual toasts were heartily honoure.d. . On departing by car for a honeymoon to be spent in the north, Mrs Bright wore a smart navy ensemble with a small brimmed velour hat to tone, finished with a scarlet buckle. Accesoories were blue and ehe wore the bridegroom 's gift, a fur coat. Mrs Mason received the guests in a model frock of brown lace with which she wore a short velour coat, and brown hat, the crown composed entirely of flowers. Among the guests present were: Mr and Mrs F. Brough-Mason (parents of the bride), the Rev. F. Roberte, Mr and Mrs Herbert Bardsley, Mr and Mrs Walter Gray, Mr and Mrs Vinsen, Mr and Mrs Bry£on, Mr and Mrs Peterson, Mr and Mrs Allan Somervell, Mr and Mrs C. Babington, Mr and Mrs J. Delahurst, Mr and Mrs A. Johnstone, Mr and Mrs F. Olif, Mr and Mrs F. W. Aicken, Mesdames L. W. Liynch, T. Valios, Misses M. Walker, MeLaughlin and V. Andrews; Messrs Stanley Vinsen, Athol Bardsley, F. farker, and Sidney Tombs.
