Napier Club't Weekly Carnival CUP T0 MISS DANIELLS Through her wua jua ihe senier women' s 220 yards event at the weekly carnival of the Napier Swiinming Club, held at the Napier Municipal Bathe last night, Miss B. Daniels annexed the Hedley Cup for the 1936-37 season. Miss E. Hyde was runner-up, nine points behind the winnmr's total 67, points over the fiv© distances which have been swum for the cup dnrlng the season. The attendancq at the carnival, in spite o.f the cold weather, was rery good, although there were few competitors offering, and in one race only Was • it necessary to run heats. The crowd was thrilled by several close finishes, particulariy iu the 220 yards senior men, and the 50 yards senior men's events, while the times were very good considering the coldnesi e| the water.
