HAWKE CUP CHALLENGE

H.B. Match Towards End of February "I see no reason why these dates should not prove acceptable to our association provided -the New Zealand Cricket Council agrees," said the secretary of the Hawke's Bay Cricket Association, Mr E. Elliott, this morning when co-mmenting upo'n the decision of the Manawatu Cricket Association last night to suggest that the Hawke's Bay v. Manawatu cricket match for the Hawke Cup should be played at Palmerston North on Friday and Saturday, February 26 and 27, and Monday, March 1. The Manawatu Cricket Association met at Palmerston North last night, when a letter from the Hawke's Bay Association was considered relating to the date of the fixture.
