GERMAN SABOTAGE
Foreign Witnesses Give Evidence (Received January 27, 11.5 a.m.) MOSCOW, Jan. 26. At the fourth day of the trial, Stroilofl?, a former Kusbass mining chief, gave evidence that he was tangled up with German intelligence officers while visiting Berlin. They gave him the choice of a German or a Soviet prison and, in view of this, he agreed to agitate in favour of German machines in industry and to help impede the productioqj of coal. Documentary evidenc was produeed to support Stroiloff Js story. The first foreign witness, a German engineer, Stein, testified that he was prevailed upon as a patriotic German to participate in wrecking plant to necessitate purehases from Germany. A German Fascist engineer, Slesser, had reprimanded him for not doing some sabotage.
