Mrs Nikoline Gavin

The death of Mrs Nikoline Gavin, reliet of the late Mr "William 'C. Gavin, occurred yesterday at the home of her daughter, Mrs Ashworth. Mrs Gavin was born in Hjoring, Denmark, 73 years ago, and came out to New Zealand in the ship British Queen at the age of . 20, arriving at Foxton. She went to live first at Palmerston, but moved shortly afterwards to Dannevirke, where she was married about 1887. Mrs Gavin afterward went with her husband to live at Takapau, and remained there for 32 years until she came to Hastings, where she had lived ever since. She is Burvived by two sons, Messrs J. W. Gavin, Hastings, and M. R. Gavin, Takapau, and two daugliters, Mrs G. Blackmore, Clive, and Mrs A. C. Ashworth, Hastings. The funeral left the residence of her daughter, Mrs Ashworth, 602 Grey's road, Hastings, for the Havelock North Cemetery at 2 p.m. to-day.
