CHRISTIE CUP TENNIS
H.B, to Meet Manawatu on February 6 Saturday, February 6, is the date ehoisen for the Rawke's Bay v, Manawatu lawn tennis match for the Christio Cup. The match will be piayed on the courts of the Hawke 's Bay Lawn Tennis Club at Marewa, Napier, and the Hawke 's Bay team will be announced on Monday next. Executive officers of the Hawke 's Bay Lawn Tennis Assoeiation aro to take an active part in the running of the fixture. The manager of the Hawke 's Bay team is Mr. I. L, Prime, speretary of the aissocintian. Mr. R, H, Milburn, ehqirman of the qssociatipn 's management committee, ha(s been appointed captain of the Hawke 's Bay team, while the referee is Mr. H. L. Bradley, patron Qf the assoeiation. The Wanganui Lawn Tennis Assoeiation is eager for a visit from Hawke 's Bay, and the local assoeiation has made Sataxxrday, February 20, a tentative date. In the event of Hawke 's Bay retaining the Christie Cup after the Manawatu match, Wanganui will be offered a chance to compete for .the tropliy.
