KARMT'S CREW SAFE
Leda Lands Rescued at Bergen , BERGEN, Jan. 24. " The mail steamer Leda has arrived with those rescued from the Norwegian eargo steamer Karmt. It was welcomed with bplls and sirens and the crew were aocorded a mnnicipal x-eception and giyen a mqnth 's. extra pay, The Lyra (which saved six from the wrecked Swedish fishing cutter), the Leda and Venus are all ovyned by the iBergen Steamships Company. Four steamers rushed to the aid pf ihe Karmt, which, heavily laden with coal, was adrift with a crew of twenty. Her hatches were smashed, and the steamer steadily settled down under the remorseless buifeting of huge seas for four days.
