Following is the Government Meteoxologist's aummary and forecast for tbe Central, East and North-east district for the 24 honra from 9 a.m to-day: — Geqeral inference: An aqtl-cyclone is still located west of New Zealand and has intensified considerably, especially in its southern portion. It is now movmg on to the Dominion. A tropical cyclone is still located in the New Hehrides region, hut no recent reports are available. A depression covers •outh-eastern Anstralia. Forecast: Light to moderate southerly Winds, later tending to move to easterly and increasing. Weather: Mainly fair, hut with scattered passing showers, especially in the high country. Temperatures cooL fieas: Slight to moderate. the sun-To-day— Rose 5.29 a.m., sets 7.38 p.m. To-morrow— Rises 5.30 a.m., sets 7,37 £.m. high tide. (At Glasgow Wharf)'.
