"Cham^agne Charlie" To-night The candid drama of a strange romance that the whole world wondered about is revealed in the new Fox picture, "Champagne Charlie" which comes to the Waipukurau Theatre tonight (Tuesday) at 8. Played with a zest and effervesence that match the title, the picture follows the impetuous story of a gambler at life and love, as he skirts tragpdy and plays at romance. The title role of "Cnampagne Charlie" is taken by handsome Paul Kavanagh, while his leading. lady is Helen Wood, lovely Southern belle who plays her first major role in this production. Thomas Beck, Minna Gombell and Herbert Mundin are the chief actors in the jtrong supporting east of "Champagne Charlie, " whicn is supported by a laugh-creating bit of nonsense by those prime comedy favourites ot the screen, Gracie Allen and George Burns, otherwise known as Burns and Allen, whose latest fun film "Here Comes Cookie" measares up as first-rate comedy entertainment. '
