Heretaunga Cup Distances Begun
LAST NIGHT'S RESULTS
The Heretaunga Swimming. and Life-Saving Club last evening began its Cup events at a carnival which was well patronised by the public. The programme proved a very interesting one. some excellent swimming being provided by good fields' in all events. The programme concluded with a game of water polo between two club teams and this produced flashes of good polo. The game resulted one-nil in favour of the A. team. The results of the events conducted were as follow: — ' First distance Perkins Cup, junior boys, 25 yards. — First heat: Downey 1, Mcivor 2, Petrowski 3. Time, 14 4-6. Second heat: Shaw 1§ Peters 2.
