NO COSTUME ROLES

Katharine Hepburn is to make one more costume film. Then she is finished with them, She will concentrate upon roles in which she is a modern woman, the kind which made her famous in "A Bill of Divorcement" and "Christopher Strong." The reason behind this deeision is that Hepburn was only forty-fourth on the list in a poll held by American cinema exhibitors to see who were the most popular stars. This was one of the surprises of the ballot and Eadio Pictures, her employers, came to the conclusion that perhaps her public is t^red of seeing her in costume. Her next film is to be a version of Sir James Barrie 's "Quality Street." After that she stars in "High Bridge in the Sky," in which she portrays a debutante who becomes progressively disillusioned by "the wonders of the world."
