Dr. E. B. Gunson, Auckland, left by the WanganeHa yesterday for England, accompanied by Mrs. Gunson. They will be away from New Zealand for six months. The Very Rev. Father M. J. Dowling, S.M., who has been appointed recster of St. Bede's College,. Christchurch, is a brother of the Very Rev. Father .T. "W. Dowling, S.M., rector of St. Patrick's College, Silverstream. Dr. R, Campbell Begg, Lower Hutt, left last night by the Wanganella for Sydney, where he will connect with the Ulysses for Durban. Dr. Begg intends to practice in Johannesburg, South Africa Mr. Ian T. Wehster, for the past two years and a balf accountant at the Bank of New South Wales, Palmerston North, has gone to Bulls to take over the managership of the Bulls branch. He succeeds Mr. O. H. Grut, who goes to Papakura. Mr. J. B. Hutton, a well-known English angler, and author of "Fishing Days and Fishing Ways," is on his second visit to New Zealand^- He intends to spend five weeks in the Dominion, and will fish for swordfish at the ' Bay of Islands. The Rev. F. A, Crawshaw, fonnerJv n minister of tlie Congregational Churci in New Zealand, and now general sec retary for Australia of the Mission t Lepers, has arrived in Auckland. H i.s to make a month's lecture tour oi the North Island in the interests of ' the mission.
