"DRACULA'S DAUCHTER" FINALLY . Human vampires, throat clutching creatures of the night, come out of the darkness to cast strange shadows on the sbreen of the Cosy Theatre in "Dracula's Daughter," the Universal him drama which screens finally to-day. This tale, a sequal to tlie original "Dracula," follows the adventures of his daughter, who is portrayed by the exotic Gloria Holden. Other featured roles are played by Otto Kruger, Marguerite Churchill, Irving Pichel and Ldward Yan Sloan. "THE G1RL IN JRDD." An appearancts is to t>e made at the Cosy Theatre to-night by Miss Nita Rosslyn, better known as "The Girl in Red," who is visiting New Zealaud in the course of a cycliug to.ur of the world. Miss Rosslyn has a^hieved world-wide distinction as au artist, and will sing songs iu Maori, Spanish, Hawaiian and Rugilisli. AIR THRILLER AND CHILLER The test pilots, unsung heroes of aviation, are held up for well-deserving pats on the back and recoguition oi their valorous deeds in a film that opens to-tuorrow at the Cosy Theatre. It is "Devil's Squadron," and it stars the square-jaweu ltichard Dix. Dick Grace, oue of tlie woiTd's foremost aviators, who has come into the limelight ior his hazardous stunting and erasliing oi planes for tlie movies, wrote the story. According to • the story, Dix and Nolan, two test pilots, fall in love with Miss Morley. Dix, because of an unjust stigma attaclied to lxis name and, because he refuses to hurt Nolan, superintendent of the airport, tvlio gave Dix his chance to make good again is unable to tell Miss Morley that he loves he/. But cUse association with death amid flaming planes and strained nerves, cnanges much, and the story goes on from its premise to a dramatic climax. Out of the tlirilling pages of Harold Bell Wright' s gripping aovel, "The Mine With the Iron Door," also screening on this programme, comes a picture which cconbines thi'ills, action, romance, and mystery in one of the most enjoyable screen entertainraents that has been presented in many nonths. Dramatically powerful because of its unique theme, "The Mine With fche Iron Door," tells a story of lcve and passion, and the search for a gold treasure that has been guarded for 300 years by a league of dead men.
