DOUBLE PROGRAMME. Gay humour vies with thrilling mystery and sparkling dialogue with exciting romanee in "Half Angel," the production that screens at the State Theatre to-day with Frances Dee, Brian Donlevy and droll Charles Butterworth featured at the head of an imposing cast that also includes Helen Westley. "Star for a Night, " also on the bill, features Claire Trevor, Jane Darwell, Arline Judge, Evelyn Yenable, J. Edward Bromberg, Dean Jagger and Alan Dinehart. The iilm tells an entrancing story of how madcap chorus girls turn a musical show topsy-turvy and Broadway exerts all its make-believe to make a mother's dreams come true. Several new musical hits, authored by Harry Akst and Sidney Clare, are featured in the ' production which was directed hy I^ewis Seiler under the supervision of Executive Producer Sol. M. Wurtzel. t
