D. Sweetappie just as much as ar© the men from the Hawke's Bay hospital district This information is contained in * legal opinion given to the Hawke's Bay Hospital Board by it# solicitors. A copy of the advice has been received by the Park Island Joint Cemmittee. Mr Sweetappie died on February 19, 1935. The legacy of £500 is at prefeiit in the bank to the credit of the Hawke's Bay Hospital Board, together with £12 10/- aeerued interest. The legal qpinion, whieh was the subject of consideration by members of th© Park Island Joint Committee yesterday, states that the Waipawa, and Dannevirke Hospital Boards are entitled to share the benefits of the legacy to the same extent, but no further than the Hawke's Bay Hospial Board. Should the joint committee (which is made up of representatives from the three boards in question) be at any time terminated the board severina itself from the Hawke's Bay- board would lose the benefit of thp bequeet, which by the testator's own words is confined to a specific home in a specifio place, The wording of the bequest -in the will i« as foUows— "To, the Hawke's Bay* Hospital Board five hundred pounds to he applied for purposes conneeted with the Old Men's. Home, Park Island.'' *
