WAIPAWA, Jan, 19. Miss A. Miller, Waipawa, left thi# morning to spend her annual leave ia Wanganui. Mr Jack Miller, Waipawa, has received word from the' New Zealand Board of Plumbers that he was successful in passing. in both theory and prao» tical at the examination held on No* vember 14. • Presentation Made, During an interval in play at tha Waipawa Tennis Club's touriiamen# yesterday, the president of the cluh, Dr. T. S. Norris, took the opportunity to make a presentation, on behalf of the members, to Mr V.,Hohin, whp is leaving Waipawa tp take up an appointment at the Russell Street School, Palmerston North. In making the presentation, which consistred of a smoker's companion, Dr. Norris paid tribute to the excellent service which Mr Hobin. had rendered to the club both as a player and in other capacitles, and wished him every success in his new sphere. Suitable acknowledgement waa made by Mr Hobin, and three hearty cheers were accorded him. Music Examinations.
