Some Facts and Figures A certain bond of interest exists between Hastings and its English namesake where, as every schoolboy knows, William the Coqueror won a battle in 1066; This fellow-feeling has been cemented of late by the links established between the Hastings Central School and a school in Hastings, England. It is therefore interesting to study the details given of the County Borough of Hastings, England, in a year-book recently published in that town. It is noteworthv that the car-parking problem is handled on an extensive scale. There is an underground car park which yielded an income during last year of £1907. The number of cai's and motor-cycles parked there during the year totalled 56,000, while another parking place in another part of the town accommodated 21,093. The borough covers an area of 4,857 acres, and has an airport 381 i acres iii extent. Bands and chair-letting in the parks and on beaches yielded revenne totalling £11,82*9, the profit working out at £2295
