Racing at Caufield And Canterbury Park N.Z.-BRED HORSES FAIL SYDNEY. Jan. 11. At the Canterbury Park races to-day Warwick Lad was third in the second division of the Maiden Welter Handicap. Elderslie was unplaced in the fiist division. Gold Standard and Dreani Song were unplaced in the Nursery Handicapj Kinsfolk, wbo was interfered with, was unplaced in the Park Stakea, in which Roma fell and died. His jockey, Ward, escaped with a shaking and abrasions. A Melbourne message states that at the Caulfield races, Bazaard was third in the Holiday Stakes, which was won by Ajax. Royal Quex was unplaced Golden Promise was unplaced in the Anniversary Handicap, which was Woi by Aitchengee ; Barnum and Claydoi were unplaced in the Hawtliorn Hurdk Race ; Cape Lilqclr was unplaced in the Rowena Welter Handicap ; Prince Quex ; was unplaced in tlie Tooronga Handi- i caP. 1
