Ringing Bells
WEARY WORKER.
(To the Editor). Sir,— I am. writing to aseertain if thefe is aiiy MeanS by which the. ringing of churcb bells in the very early hours of Suhday moriiing could be preVented. To tbose who have worked a long and weaxy week, with its noise and rush and nerVe strain, to ligbt sleepers and to invalids, these bells are an annoyance at this period of the day, and if tbe churches would follow the method of the civie authorities and In. . e the bells eliminated during these hoUi's it would be much appreeiated. In Wellington this consideration has been granted, the bells giving merely two tolls quietly. — Yours. etc.
