Executive Meets The monthly meeting of the committee of the Hastings Returned Soldiers' Assoeiation was held last evening. The president, Mr P. J. Priest, was in ■ the chair. Other members present were Messrs P. J. S. George, D. S. MeLeod, F. H. Goldfinch, T. E. O'Dowd and G. H. Roach. Mr V. A. Thomson, secretary, was also present. Leave of absence was granted to Messrs W. A. McIntyre, C. Prebble, L. J. Mackersey, and L. J. B. Hammond. Headquarters advised that the Biftish Empire Service League was making every effort to have a proportion of seats on the route of the Coronation procession made available for ex-ser-vieemen and their families visiting London from overseas, and urged that all returned soldiers who intend going home for the Coronation should hand in to the local R.S.A. as early as possible their names and their addresses in England. The secretary reported that 192 grants, totalling £164 7/6, had been made from the Ohristmas Cheer fund to ex-servicemen and their families in needy circumstances. The financial membership of the assoeiation to date is 364. i
