NEW PLYMOUTH, Jan. 16. Four motorists were trapped in a car wben it left tbe road and plunged into ten feet of water in tbe Mohakatino river tbis morning, But all escaped. The accident occurred when the ear, which was driven by Mrs D. Milne, Hawera, was passing a cream lorry. The otber passengers were her busband, Mr I. R. Milne; Mrs Matthews, Of New Plymouth, and Mr Bernard Matthews. Mrs Miltte Was cut by flying glass and taken to hospital, but tbe other passengers extricated tbemSelves uninjured.
