The 1933 contest was played at Hawera at the week-end and resulted in a win for the North by a. margin of three matches. North won four in the morning to South’s one, and each bad throe wins in the afternoon, one match being squared in the morning. The South team hospitably entertained the visitors and their health was duly honoured. They were also entertained: at luncheon and afternoon tea. Results were as 1 follow, North mentioned first: T. J. Salmon and TV. EL Williams v. N. Lewes and H. M. Cnselberg. won 5 and 4 in the morning and 2 and 1 in the afternoon. H. E. Jackn and H. S. Wagstaff v. 11. Slater and L. Braithwaite, won 8 and 7 and 7 and 5. F. Partridge and G. Pryke v. V. J. Stratton and N. G. Meuli, lost 5 and 4 and 2 and 1. T. Webster and T. Harris v. A. E.
