Herr Hugenberg lias presented to :hs> League of Nations a memorandum urging Germany’s claim for the return if her farmer colonies in Africa . The memorandum . declares that under Herr Hitler’s guidance Germany • s lighting against the destruction of the West and refuses to be destroyed ay a lower type of humanity devefop.ng among the Western pec-pies. if lermauv goes down others will follow. Consequently it is essential to restore Germany’s old position as a payer of international obligations. In the first place, says the appeal, it is necessary to grant Germany a olonial empire in Africa, enabling Germans to carry ,o-ut there, works and enterprises which otherwise could not exist, and secondly to give “people without space” new areas in which to settle. The world is said to he suffering not from over-production but from under-consumption. The German delegation informed the League that Herr Hugenberg’s. memorandum is private and in nowise confoms with tlie delegation's opinions. DISAGREEMENT DENTED. RUMOURS OF RESIGNATION. Received 11.30 a.m. to-day. LONDON, June 18. Herr Hugenberg has gone to Berlin, fie denies reports of disagreement with die rest of the delegation and that he probably will resign from the Hiter Government. x
