The “Daily Telegraph” says that M. Litvin-off met Mr Felix Pole, chairman of tihe Metropolitan Vickers Ltd., and refused! even to consider the release of tlxe company’s engineers Thornton and MacDonald until Britain lifted the embargo on Riussian goods. M. Litvinpff added that appeals in Russia were rarely heard before a year after the conviction and six months at the earliest. He says there is no reason to expedite the procedure -in the case of Thornton and MacDonald unless Britain facilitates it.
