Received 11.30 a/m. to-day. : ✓ SYDNEY, June 47. The “Telegraph” says the suggestion: of Mr R. B. Bennett, Prime Minister ■of Canada, for a reduction in wheat acreage will be opposed 1 by Australia. Definite instructions to that effect have been given to the Australian delegate to the vv-orld wheat eonferen'ce, Mr McDougull. A London'cable states that meeting of delegates of wheat countries yesterday morning led to the story that an agreement for a curtailment of acreage had been reached, but the report is unjustified. Australia is still hostile. Tn any case the conversations were merely of a preliminary nature. .
