Drain and put in piedish with alternate layers of grated cheese; season with pepper and salt; add a little milk. Bake a nice brown. Savoury Scones. Chop two hard-boiled eggs; add 1 tablespoonful melted butter, anchovy paste, pepper, salt and a little lemon juice. Make scone dough, roll out half spread with mixture and place other half on top. Sprinkle with grated cheese and cut and bake as usual. Delicious either hot or cold.
