CHEESE RECIPES
Clieese Biscuits. Two ounces grated cheese, 3oz. flour, loz. butter, 1 egg, pinch salt, halfteaspoonful soda, 1 teaspoonful cream of tartar. Sift flour and rising together. Add salt and cheese; rub in butter and mix with egg. Bake 10 minutes. Esan Cheese. •Soak lib haricot beans overnight and then Boil 2 hours. Drain and put in piedish with alternate layers of grated cheese; season with pepper and salt; add a little milk. Bake a nice brown. Savoury Scones. Chop two hard-boiled eggs; add 1 tablespoonful melted butter, anchovy paste, pepper, salt and a little lemon juice. Make scone dough, roll out half spread with mixture and place other half on top. Sprinkle with grated cheese and cut and bake as usual. Delicious either hot or cold.
