AUCKLAND B RADIO STATION.

FRESH LICENSE ISSUED.

(By Telegraph —rress Association.) AUCKLAND, June 15. Station IZR will he on the air again. A fresh license for the transmission of broadcasting programmes has been issued by the Postmaster-General (the Hon. A. Hamilton). The Minister has stated that jsince the station license was cancelled negotiations have taken place between him and the proprietor (Lewis Eady, Ltd.). In reply to an inquiry from the firm as to the conditions under which broadcasting could he resumed the Minister intimated that a fresh license would he issued oti receipt of an assurance that conditions relative to sponsored programmes would he strictly complied with in future. “Such an assurance,” Mr Hamilton said to-day. “was received by me this morning. I have now given permission to enable, the station to resume broadcasting.”
