GALE DELAYS SHIPPING
SOUTHERLY AT WELLINGTON
DEPARTURES POSTPONED.

WELLINGTON, June 15. A heavy southerly delayed eoasta shipping at Wellington to-day, the de parture of three vessels—the Totar; for New Plymouth, the Kini for Grevmouth and the Inaha for Patea be i n<_ uliable to sail. The liner Rotorua was delayed foi an hour this morning, at the heads by the gale and on arrival had difficoil ty in berthing at Pipitea wharf. The Canadian Cruiser also had difficult.’, in berthing at that wharf. Two motor-tankers, Pulpit Point and New Zealand, were also affected. The Pulpit Point, Avhich Avas to move tc Burnham wharf, remained at the Point Howard wharf, where the Nev. Zealand was to berth. The latter there fore, remained anchored. The Mint Pomare, which eva.s taken this morning to Evans Bay to go on the slip, had +o return to the berth. The Man Pomare will go on the slip as soon a: tlje- weather abates.
