The Full Court to-dav restored to the roll of solicitors Thomas Ernest Rofe, a prominent citizen, whose name was removed from the roll 38 years ago after conviction for conspiracy to pervert the course of justice in a notable divorce suit in which lie concocted evidence of misconduct brought against Mrs. Mary Butler. The Chief Justice said the court exonerated Mr Rofe from any suggestion that he was a party to the preparation of the concocted evidence..Mr Rofe was at that time at a disadvantage be'■aiise there was no Court of Criminal Appeal. , , Mr. Rofe was 04 years of age today. He declares it was the finest birthday gift he ever received.
