“Women often smoke too fast and too furiously,” Professor Stevens told his class at an Illinois University, adding, “the only way to get genuine psychological benefit out. of smoking is to completely relax when you light up. and take it easy. That is why men find a pipe more satisfying tlia-n a hurried cigarette. If you would really enioy smoking smoke a pipe. ’ ’ Quite true. But the professor might have said something about the paramount importance of selecting your weed with judgment. Many a man has “gone under” as the result of smoking the wrong tobacco—tobacco. that is. saturated with nicotine. Fortunately for New Zealanders the tobaccos in common use in this country, i.e.. R-iver-head Gold, Navy Cut No. 3 (Bulldog), Cavendish, and Cut Plug No. 10 (Bullshearli. are subjected to a special purifying process which gets rid of the nicotine while at the same time developing flavour and aroma. These, be it noted, are the only genuine toasted brands, None others, are manufactured. Their success has resulted in imitations getting on to the market. Take care what you buy!—Advt.
